SENSATION STATION 1997

I expected that the shadow screens would be the primary attraction in this installation.

We stretched and tangled about 100 plastic florescent Slinkies across the ceiling of the structure. We had previously used Slinkies in this way in Vegas events.

The exterior of the structure was made of paper billboard sheets, also from Vegas stage productions. After I spent a couple days setting them up, a breeze blew by and destroyed them. I haven’t built any more sails in BRC.

The little feather duster portal to the installation got a surprising amount of attention.

This installation marked the beginning of my association with Illumination Village, which continues today.
